Yes, it’s true. Avengers: Infinity War has now screened – in full, might we add – for those lucky enough to attend the world premiere in Los Angeles last night. The Russos have already warned fans to stay off social media for fear of spoilers but let’s be honest, that’s just not going to happen, as Marvel enthusiasts are beyond eager for those early reactions coming out of the premiere – and we don’t blame them. After all, this is a movie that’s been 10 years in the making.
Thankfully, the first thoughts on the film have now begun to surface and obviously, they’re extremely positive, with some folks even going so far as to say that Infinity War is “something people will be talking about for generations.” You can dive into them down below – ahead of the full review embargo lifting later this afternoon – but as always, we’ll caution that these may not be indicative of what the general public ends up thinking of the pic.
After all, it was only a small handful of individuals who saw it last night in LA. That being said, I think we all know that Marvel’s hit another home run here, right?
Anyways, without further ado, here are some of those early reactions:
If you don't see #InfinityWar in theaters, you're going to miss something people will be talking about for generations like the Original Star Wars trilogy or LOTR. It's seriously going to be: pic.twitter.com/isGfpcJu1o

I am overwhelmed. The movie is epic beyond compare. LOVED it. My legs are still shaking. It’s a gigantic @Marvel masterpiece. So much to say but I’ll stay Silent Bob til Monday so as not to slip in spoilers. Suffice to say it’s gonna be a looooong year until @Avengers 4… pic.twitter.com/aHnsgj5MK0

The final minutes of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR are heartstopping. Can’t wait for the next one. Marvel wins again. #AvengersInfinityWar #Avengers #InfinityWar

#AVENGERS: #InfinityWar is the most thrilling, action-packed film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Focusing on deeper, emotional beats, while retaining their classic charm, IW is both familiar & different in such a GREAT way. #Thanos is FANTASTIC!

Avengers #InfinityWar is epic, emotional and most of all, shocking. Marvel just raised the stakes higher than you can believe. pic.twitter.com/KnqJICe7fC

AVENGERS #infinitywar felt like Marvel just dunking all over DC: Genuinely funny jokes that felt effortless, real emotional stakes & payoffs from a decade of world building and character development, crisp, inventive action sequences and an ending that left my jaw on the floor.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR has like ten legit "chill down the spine" great moments. But it's for sure the first half of a two part movie and I left a little unsatisfied/frustrated, maybe by design … at least that's how I feel right now three hours later.

#InfinityWar may be the most expensive Hollywood movie ever designed to mess with its audience. People sure are going to sit through a lot of credits!

#AvengersInfinityWar is my second fave @Marvel movie after #BlackPanther. The superhero interplay is hilarious and surprising at every turn. The action is monumental. And there are actual stakes this time around. Kevin Feige is not f-cking around with this one.

Had the pleasure of watching #Avengers: #InfinityWar. One of the most unique MCU films, IW has a distinct Marvel/Russo feel, while also bringing a TON of emotional layers, dodging many MCU tropes, & carried by a magnificent villain in #Thanos

From beginning to end, #AvengersInfinityWar is non-stop action. It’s really dynamic and jaw-dropping, but at times, it could have stopped for air and give us more substance on plot points. Loved it when the audience clapped as soon as #BlackPanther & #okoye entered the scene.

Excited yet? Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters this Friday, April 27th, and when it does, it’s expected to break all sorts of box office records. The real question is, whether or not it’ll be able to reach the exclusive $2 billion club. Time will tell, but judging by these reactions, we’re feeling that it should have no trouble getting there.
Also, if it’s more coverage you’re after, be sure to check back later today as our full review will be live at 6pm EST!
