In one fell swoop, 20th Century Fox has updated several of the release dates for upcoming tentpole films, including the Gambit-centric X-Men spinoff starring Channing Tatum, the sequel to the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, Michael Fassbender’s Assassin’s Creed adaptation, and the third Planet of the Apes film.

Fassbender’s Assassin’s Creed was originally meant to hit theaters this summer, but didn’t begin production in time and was taken off of Fox’s release schedule completely. By the looks of it, the gears are finally turning once more, as it’s now scheduled to hit theaters on December 21st, 2016. It will quickly be followed by Hugh Jackman’s P.T. Barnum film, The Greatest Showman on Earth, on Christmas Day.

As far as superhero news goes, the upcoming Gambit film starring Channing Tatum is set to hit theaters on October 7th, 2016, marking the third film that year that will center on X-Men characters – the previous two being Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool (due February 12th) and X-Men: Apocalypse (May 27th).

Tatum himself confirmed the news via Twitter:

Fox also shifted the release date of the sequel to the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, which was originally slated for a July 14th release. Instead, it will debut on June 2nd and the third entry in the current Planet of the Apes franchise, once again directed by Matt Reeves, will open on that newly vacated July 14th slot.

Other release date announcements include the comedy Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates on July 29th, and the Charlie Hunnam/Rosamund Pike romantic drama The Mountain Between Us the following year on February 10th, 2017.
