Though director Zack Snyder has stated that his upcoming Batman vs. Superman film will not be based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns, he has said that Miller’s work will “help him tell the story” that he wants to tell. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Snyder will be meeting with Miller this week to go over plans for the film, according to Bleeding Cool.
Apparently, “things should be clearer” after the two meet, which might mean that we’ll get further details on the film in the very near future. Then again, it might mean nothing at all. Unfortunately, we really don’t have anything else to go on at this time.
There’s no word on if Miller will actually be involved in the film as of yet but I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up producing or at the very least, helping out with the script.
Either way, whatever happens at this “meeting,” I hope it’s not too much longer before we hear some concrete details on this film. Right now we know next to nothing about it and seeing as it’s arriving sometime in 2015, it would be nice if we could at least get some sense of what Snyder is hoping to do with it.
