Gal Gadot stands tall as DC’s Amazonian warrior in the latest batch of images to emerge for Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman movie.
Arriving by way of Entertainment Weekly, the action shots showcase Gadot in full costume as Diana Prince and could, potentially lay the groundwork for Warner Bros. to unveil the movie’s first official trailer at San Diego Comic-Con next week.
Outside of behind-the-scenes teasers and set photos, we’ve yet to truly see Jenkins’ origins tale in motion. Plus, with principal photography now wrapped and Wonder Woman well into post, it seems the stars have finally aligned for Warner to showcase Gadot’s mythic heroine to the masses – to the masses in Hall H, at least.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Also starring Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Danny Huston, Säid Taghmaoui and David Thewlis, earlier this week it was revealed that Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns hold writing credits on the script.
Strap in, folks. San Diego Comic-Con is now a mere week away, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Wonder Woman will be one of the many superhero tentpoles to take up residence in Hall H. The only question now is, will Warner Bros. formally unveil the movie’s first trailer? After all, it rolled out a similar treatment for Batman V Superman during last year’s SDCC.
