George Clooney has now lined up his next project, and it’s arriving in the form of Suburbicon. Joel Silver is producing the noir drama along with Clooney and Grant Heslov based on a script from Joel and Ethan Coen.

Getting both behind and in front of the camera for the film, Clooney is currently assembling a star studded cast, with negotiations currently underway with Matt Damon, Julianne Moore and Josh Brolin.

No word yet on what roles the actors are being eyed for, but we do know that the movie is being compared to the Coens’ Blood Simple, with insiders saying that it’s a crime story set in the 1950s.

Seeing as Clooney has a long history with the Coen Brothers, this collaboration is certainly exciting news. The three talents work well together, and with Brolin, Moore and Damon also on board, this is shaping up to be quite the starry project.

It may still be early days, but already Suburbicon is looking like a film worth keeping an eye on.
