Community‘s Gillian Jacobs is going to be joining Lorene Scafaria‘s directorial debut Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, according to THR. The blonde bombshell will join a cast that includes Steve Carell, Keira Knightley, William Petersen, Adam Brody, Rob Corddry and Derek Luke.
Personally, I’m thrilled about this news. I love Community and I think Gillian Jacobs is great. I’m very happy to see her getting some recognition by being cast in a film like this.
In Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, she’ll be playing ‘a waitress high on Ecstasy who meets Carell and Knightley on their journey’, hopefully it will be a significant part. The film itself sounds a bit iffy, I’m feeling a dark comedy, not something I’m sure I’ll like, but I’m definitely digging the cast.
