Can you feel that? It’s the sound of the marketing machine for Star Wars: The Last Jedi slowly kicking into gear ahead of its December release.
After bringing us some gorgeous cover photos of most of the main cast just yesterday, Vanity Fair is back with more, and this time, they’ve got several stunning portraits of Rey, Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Luke, DJ, Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo and many more. And yes, you read those last two names right. The outlet has just given us our very first look at the mysterious new characters set to be played by Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern, respectively.
In addition to the portraits, we’ve also got some fantastic behind the scenes pics of the cast and crew and a couple of very touching photos featuring the late Carrie Fisher, with the shot of her and Mark Hamill being a particular highlight. Admittedly, none of these images are taken from Star Wars: The Last Jedi itself, but they’re all beautiful photos that should definitely have fans smiling.
And it’s not only the stunning images that Vanity Fair’s brought us today, as they’ve also posted an exhaustive cover story on the film, which you can read here. There’s far too much to summarize, but it’s a fantastic article that peels back the layers on what’s undoubtedly 2017’s biggest film, featuring interviews with the cast and crew, stories from on set, a preview of what’s to come and much, much more.
On December 15th, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will make a beeline for theaters the world over and uncover the next – and seemingly crucial – chapter in the Skywalker saga. With the marketing now fired up, you can expect to see more soon. But until then, be sure to check out the photos in the gallery above and leave us a comment with your thoughts!
