Horrible Bosses 2 Loses Seth Gordon

Horrible Bosses 2 is still happening. No really, it is. Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis have all signed and everything is all ready to go for the Fall shoot. Well, almost everything. Director Seth Gordon had agreed to helm the sequel to his hit 2011 film but now, due to scheduling conflicts, the excuse to end all excuses, he's had to drop out.

So, New Line needs a new director to fill in for Gordon and while they don’t have any candidates just yet, I wouldn’t worry too much. The first film did $209 million at the worldwide box office on a $35 million budget, I don’t think the studio will have any trouble finding someone to helm the sequel as it will no doubt be as successful as its predecessor. Let’s be honest, it would be very hard to screw up Horrible Bosses 2.

Unfortunately, no word yet on if Jamie Foxx will return and there’s also no news on who will play the new batch of bosses but we’ll keep you posted when we hear more.

Personally, I really enjoyed Horrible Bosses and I think that the success of the film hinged on the chemistry between the three leads, not necessarily Gordon’s direction. As long as Bateman, Day and Sudeikis are as reliable as they always are, I don’t think we’ll have anything to worry about with the sequel.
