Recently, we unveiled a rumor that grumpy slash-handed X-Men Wolverine might be set for a cameo in Bryan Singer’s upcoming time-travel flick X-Men: Days Of Future Past, with Hugh Jackman in talks to reprise his role. Yes, last time we saw Wolverine was in X-Men: First Class, where he told Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy to… well, we can’t repeat that kind of language here, but it was damn rude.
But now Jackman has opened up on this potential cameo, saying:
“I did a three-hour, three-word cameo in the last one. It literally took me three hours. I have been talking to Bryan Singer about doing something in this. There will be more claws in this.”
As you’re no doubt aware, being a human in the 21st century, comic book movie cameos are the only things that anybody lives for anymore, and a lack of said cameos is enough to put a Marvel fan into a state of shock, making this Wolverine one particularly important. The fact that Wolverine might be getting a larger role, however, is something to be excited about, given that Jackman has always seemed to embody the character with the perfect amount of asshole, humor and anti-hero. Plus, we all love watching things get slashed.
In case you’re still in the dark about this whole thing X-Men: Days Of Future Past thing, here’s the plot synopsis:
The storyline alternates between present day, in which the X-Men fight Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline caused by the X-Men’s failure to prevent the Brotherhood from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future universe, Sentinels rule the United States, and mutants live in internment camps. The present-day X-Men are forewarned of the possible future by a future version of their teammate Kitty Pryde, whose mind traveled back in time and possessed her younger self to warn the X-Men.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past hits theatres 18th July 2014.
