‘I’m so careful as to not give anything away’: Tom Holland treats spoilers for his panned series with more care than he does Spider-Man

He's finally learned from his mistakes.

Whether entirely fairly or not, Tom Holland cultivated a reputation for accidentally revealing Marvel Cinematic Universe spoilers way ahead of time, with Joe and Anthony Russo hilariously revealing they paired him up with Benedict Cumberbatch on the Avengers: Infinity War press tour so that the veteran could keep an eye on his young charge.

Of course, having spent so many years as part of the biggest franchise in the business, the erstwhile Spider-Man will have learned his lesson long ago, as proven by the fact he spent the entirety of the No Way Home promotional circuit constantly reiterating that he was the only Peter Parker in the movie, despite the fact everyone knew he was lying through his teeth.

That’s also extended beyond the confines of Marvel, too, after the actor revealed in an interview with ScreenRant that he’s been guarding the secrets of Apple TV’s The Crowded Room as best he can, even if they’re two completely different beasts.

“Yeah, it’s interesting, the spoilers for the Marvel movies, they’re very basic. It’s, “Who’s the villain? What does the costume look like? Where’s the setting? What’s going on?” But what I love about this show, and why I’m so excited about it coming out, is that we have put together this mystery, [and] the mystery is going to be yours to try and solve.

There are so many periods of this show where you can solve it before we tell you what it is. And I’m just really excited to see how fans react to this style of show, which is why I’m so careful as to not give anything away.”

The downside is that The Crowded Room may not have been worth the shroud of mystery given its 26 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, but we can at least infer that the inevitable Spider-Man 4 isn’t going to involve Holland dropping bombshells out of the blue.
