In exactly three months’ time, multiplexes will be packed to the rafters with moviegoers as June 12 heralds the arrival of long-awaited sequel Jurassic World. It’s taken fourteen years – since Jurassic Park III – for Steven Spielberg and his loyal band of producers to usher a new tidal wave of terror into theaters, and the fact that development on the sequel happened over an extended period only serves as proof that time matters when it comes to the world’s favorite dino franchise.
Luckily, Universal isn’t against dishing out hints and teasers before June rolls around, as a new batch of artwork has landed today via the movie’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts. First up is Chris Pratt’s Raptor expert Owen on the run from what we can assume is a carnivorous beastie on the prowl for a human snack. Pratt’s face says it all, really.
Hopping over to Facebook for a moment, and the studio has dropped another reminder that the movie is only three months away – just in case you had forgotten. This second pic finds Pratt’s dino chief next to Bryce Dallas Howard’s science guru atop a waterfall. Those of you who caught the trailer will be clued in on what happens next for the pair…
Co-starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, and Judy Greer, Jurassic World opens its gates in 3D, 2D and IMAX on June 12th.
Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.
