Today we have two new international posters for the upcoming film Escape Plan, starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Directed by Mikael Håfström, the film follows Stallone’s Ray Breslin, an expert on structural security who is wrongly imprisoned in a high-tech facility called The Tomb. In order to escape, he teams up with Schwarzenegger’s Emil Rottmayer to devise a daring plan to break out of one of the most well protected prisons ever built.
Co-starring Jim Caviezel, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D’Onofrio and Amy Ryan, the film actually looks pretty decent. We saw the first trailer not too long ago and while both the stars have certainly done better work, it looks like they’re having a lot of fun here and doing what they do best. Plus, it’s always fun to see the two action icons on screen together, no matter how old or washed up they may be.
The posters themselves are nothing special. In fact, I think that they are both pretty crummy pieces of artwork. That being said, I’m remaining optimistic about the film and am hoping that it won’t just be another forgettable action flick trying to ride on the coattails of its stars.
