Welcoming back Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson as the irreverent knuckleheads, today’s teaser features a handful of new footage from the long-in-development sequel, which will be directed on again by Ben Stiller. Set a full decade after the events of the 2001 cult favorite, Zoolander 2 will be set against a fashion scene that is almost unrecognizable since Derek and Hansel were on the top of their game.

Struggling to come to terms with the drastic changes, the bumbling duo head to Rome, the fashion capital of the world, where the cross paths with Penélope Cruz’s dashing secret agent. Yes, Will Ferrell’s Mugatu has emerged once more, Latte in hand, ready to wreak havoc across the industry with a plan to assassinate some of the biggest names in world fashion, leaving Derek and Hansel no choice but to put an end to his dastardly reign.

Having penned the script in tandem with writing partner Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder), Stiller previously hinted about the sequel’s general set-up.

“It’s ten years later and most of it is set in Europe,” Stiller previously said of the script. “It’s basically Derek and Hansel ten years later – though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime. Their lives have changed and they’re not really relevant anymore. It’s a new world for them.”

Rounding out the core cast are Penélope Cruz, Christine Taylor, Kristen Wiig and Cyrus Arnold, while Paramount’s zany follow-up will also be chock full of cameo appearances from Billy Zane, Fred Armisen, Justin Bieber, Kyle Mooney, Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, and many more.

Zoolander 2 will hope to explain if wetness really is the essence of beauty when Ben Stiller’s long-in-development comedy sequel opens in theaters on February 12, 2016.
