To celebrate the release of I Spit On Your Grave (2010) and I Spit On Your Grave (1978) on Blu-Ray this week, we decided to sit down with the cast and crew of the film and talk to them about both the remake and the original. We chat with Sarah Butler and Chad Lindberg who star in the remake, and we also chat with Steve Monroe and Meir Zarchi. Monroe directed the remake and Zarchi was the executive producer on the remake as well as the director of the original.
For those unfamiliar with I Spit On Your Grave, the original came out back in 1978 and to this day is still regarded as one of the most controversial films of all time. Banned in numerous countries for its extreme violence, the film was slammed by critics when it came out. Roger Ebert called it “a vile bag of garbage…without a shred of artistic distinction,” adding that “attending it was one of the most depressing experiences of my life.” The legacy of the film carries on to this day and eventually led to the 2010 remake.
Check out the interviews below. And be sure to check out our review on the original, the remake, and enter our contest for a chance to win the film.
