Jason Momoa Wants Flash And Wonder Woman In Aquaman 2

While the final box office verdict is still a ways out yet, Warner Bros. will be breathing a sigh of relief thatĀ Aquaman seems to be a hit with audiences. Well, Chinese audiences at any rate, as the film has already scooped up an impressive $260 million from the overseas market in advance of its domestic release on December 21st. While we don't know whether the pic will go on to be an outright smashing success, it seems that there's little chance of it being an outright flop - so naturally, talk's turned to plans forĀ Aquaman 2.

Jason Momoa was quizzed about what the future could hold for Arthur Curry and Atlantis by Collider, and was specifically asked which heroes might guest star in his film. Unsurprisingly, he picked two of hisĀ Justice LeagueĀ co-stars, saying:

“I love Flash. I absolutely love [actor] Ezra [Miller], he’s like family to me. Just to have him on set…but you can’t have Flash come strolling through the set, it just doesn’t work. I think Wonder Woman would be pretty rad, too. Flash and Wonder Woman would be my first two. I don’t wanna pick one, so I’ll pick two.”

I’d like to see more of Ezra Miller’s Flash too, but it seems a little difficult to work the character into a story that’s inevitably going to spend a lot of time underwater. After all, it’s going be tricky for him to utilize his speed whilst submerged (but maybe that could be a good gag in and of itself).

Wonder Woman, on the other hand, seems like a much better fit. For one, her Greek mythology origins tesselate pretty well with Atlantis (which is itself a Greek myth of sorts), and they share similar sorts of villains and problems. It could be really cool to see Aquaman and Wonder Woman team up to solve a problem that requires both of their skillsets, not to mention that Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa are both insanely charismatic and have great chemistry.

Perhaps we’ll know more once the dust has settled onĀ Aquaman, which looks like it’s going to be a litmus test for the future of Warner Bros.’ DC movies.
