Jeff Goldblum Would Like To Return For Thor: Love And Thunder

In the eyes of this comic book reader, Thor: Love and Thunder marks a major turning point for the legacy hero concept. For the most part, this is something we haven't seen much of in the live action realm. I mean, Sam Wilson will seemingly do his thing as the new Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for Disney Plus, but to see Jane Foster lifting Mjolnir on the silver screen is nothing short of monumental.

As you may have heard, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is returning to helm this adventure, so that’s been forcing True Believers to speculate on which characters may carry over from his previous effort. These days, you can never be too sure, especially since we’re going with a different headlining talent.

Well, if Jeff Goldblum were to get his way, we’d probably see more of the Grandmaster. Here’s what the optimistic legend told SyFy Wire at the D23 Expo:

“I can’t give away any secrets, and there’s been rumors and rumblings…I love that character, I love working with Taika Waititi especially, he’s a brilliant director.”

From the look of it, Goldblum is doing his best to play it coy, yet it’s pretty obvious he wants to come back. And as he continued, it became abundantly clear that Marvel Studios have left a very good impression on him, with the actor saying:

“The people at Marvel, they know how to make a movie. It’s been a very pleasant experience. They are very kind. I love that cast. I want to do something with Taika for sure.”

Thor: Love and Thunder arrives in theaters on November 5th, 2021. Keeping watching this space for more, as we hope to one day confirm a Jeff Goldblum return. His character wasn’t left in the greatest of positions when we last saw him though, so no guarantees can be made.
