If the first chapter was any indication, what with the stylish set pieces and rat-a-tat action, then John Wick: Chapter Two has all the makings to be a bona fide hit when it makes a beeline for theaters.
According to Exhibitor Relations, that’s the official title of Lionsgate’s high-octane sequel, and today also brings news that Keanu Reeves will reprise his role as the titular, no-nonsense assassin on February 10, 2017.
[zerg]Word comes by way of the company’s Twitter feed, teasing that Chapter Two will send John Wick to Europe and, specifically, Rome to “kick some Italian ass.” Currently, we await official confirmation from Lionsgate, but here’s the Tweet in question.

For now, we remain skeptical that John Wick: Chapter Two is indeed on course for February 10; after all, as things stand, The Mountain Between Us, Warner’s The LEGO Batman Movie, and erotic sequel Fifty Shades Darker have all been scheduled to open on the same day, leading us to believe that at least one film will bow out.
Circling back to Lionsgate’s thriller, plot details up until now have remained under lock and key, but reports that Reeves’ hitman is bound for Europe are fascinating, even if they do remained unconfirmed for now. Beyond that, Ian McShane and John Leguizamo will return as Winston and Aurelio, respectively, with Ruby Rose, Riccardo Scamarcio, Peter Stormare, Bridget Moynahan, Tom Sadowski and Lance Reddick rounding out the cast list.
After co-directing the 2014 sleeper hit, Chad Stahelski takes point for John Wick: Chapter Two, which is seemingly on course to blast into theaters on February 10, 2017.
