For some people, that involves mounting a counterattack against Thanos, the Mad Titan who has since retired on some far-flung farm halfway across the universe. But for the world’s most lethal hitman, seeking revenge is all about toppling the person responsible for killing his puppy. Which ultimately pulls him back into a criminal underworld he hoped to forget.

Yes, as you may have guessed, we’re referring to John Wick, who will soon be back doing what he does best in this summer’s Chapter 3 – Parabellum. It’s already showcased quite a bit of footage, so don’t expect many more trailers to come out of Lionsgate. There is, however, a mock-up that frames John Wick in the style of Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame posters, which vow to avenge the fallen.

Like every other piece of content that emerges from the Avengers camp, it didn’t take long before those somber Endgame posters were repackaged as meme-worthy content – even Han of the Fast and Furious franchise has one to call his own.

On a more general note, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum sees Keanu Reeves’ titular killer turn tail and run. He’s excommunicado, you see, meaning he’s essentially been cut off from the criminal underworld and all of its precious resources. To make matters worse, a $14 million bounty has been placed on his head, so the High Table has really painted Wick into a corner this time around. Then again, this is Mr. Wick we’re talking about…

After two super stylish actioners, the John Wick franchise has graduated to summer blockbuster territory – Chapter 3 – Parabellum has been scheduled for launch on May 16th. Tick tock, Mr. Wick, every assassin in the world is now on your tail.
