A new logo for John Wick 3: Parabellum has made its way online, providing the upcoming actioner with the stylish promotion it deserves.
Taken from the Brand Licensing Expo in London, the poster sees the silhouette of Keanu Reeves’ un-retired assassin filling in as the ‘I’ of the film’s title, while some roman numerals reside in the background.
The Licensing Expo also exhibited an early poster for next year’s superhero sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home, but while that image suggested a hastily designed recycling of a Spider-Man: Homecoming still, Wick’s title looks good enough to be an official logo.
As nice as this lettering is, however, last week really gave us something to get excited about in the form of a meme-worthy still from the next John Wick. The image released by Empire sees Reeves riding horseback down a New York street while motorcycles follow in pursuit. Since then, Chad Stahelski has offered the following breakdown of what to expect from this highly anticipated trilogy-closer:
“Horses, dogs, cats, a raven, a bunch of pigeons, a motorcycle chase, car chase, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, shotguns, and ninjas.”
While many of these ingredients were known about beforehand, it’s nice to see ‘ninjas’ sneak into this list, as ninjas are wont to do. It feels like John’s already fought with practically half of New York and emerged in one piece, so perhaps it’s about time that a few masked assassins stepped into the ring and tried their luck.
John Wick 3: Parabellum is due for release on May 17th, 2019, and is set to be the final installment in this surprisingly successful film series. But with the spinoff show The Continental also on the way, it’s clear that we’ve still got a lot more exploring to do of the cruel yet civil practices of this hitman world.
