Only two days remain on the great Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Trailer Countdown, and don’t we know all about it.
All this week, a number of enticing trailer teases have trickled onto the interwebs to reveal a sleeping, prehistoric giant (“this is going to be awesome!”) along with the small matter that Isla Nublar is, in fact, a dormant volcano – you know, assuming Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) haven’t hopped over to one of the neighboring islands.
But as Thursday’s big reveal draws near, Universal has now unleashed the third trailer tease in which Chris Pratt’s dino expert gets a little too close for comfort. Dubbed Rexy (or Rexie), this is presumably the same Tyrannosaurus Rex that galloped in to save the day during the finale of Jurassic World, so we only imagine what director Juan Antonio Bayona has planned for the franchise mascot.
Alongside the teaser, the studio also premiered a legacy promo which reminds us that, when it comes to the Jurassic Park franchise, sometimes it’s best to turn tail and run…fast.
Casting-wise, Universal has tapped a whole host of A-list talent to join Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, including The Green Mile actor and all-around Hollywood veteran James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones of Sherlock fame, and Prometheus actor Rafe Spall. Expect series stalwarts BD Wong and Jeff Goldblum (Thor: Ragnarok) to reprise their respective roles as Dr. Henry Wu and Ian Malcolm, too.
And remember, the inaugural trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be with us this Thursday, December 7th, before being attached to screenings of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The same goes for Avengers: Infinity War, which almost brought the Internet to a standstill just last week with its own incredible trailer reveal.
