With Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice now out of the way, all attention has turned to Justice League and what director Zack Snyder has in store for us with the highly-anticipated film. We did get a few hints in BvS as to what we can expect, but now, we’re hearing a little bit more, and it sounds like the Caped Crusader is going to be getting a new vehicle.
According to scoopster extraordinaire, El Mayimbe, Batman will be using a Bat-Sub to journey down to Atlantis in hopes of tracking down Aquaman, who is apparently not interested in joining the Justice League at first. El Mayimbe also mentions that the Atlanteans don’t get along with the Amazonians, and they’ve had a thousand year conflict.
But it appears that the Amazonians aren’t the only ones who the people of Atlantis don’t like, as Mayimbe states that part of the film will revolve around a “war with Atlantis,” as they try to attack the surface world, which obviously doesn’t sit too well with Batman.
None of this has been confirmed by the studio, and El Mayimbe has been known to be wrong before, many times, but it certainly seems plausible. After all, like he says in the video above, how else would Batman get down to Atlantis without some sort of submarine?
The part about the conflict is interesting, too, as it potentially opens up the door for Aquaman and Wonder Woman to appear in each other’s films, which would be pretty cool.
Tell us, what do you think is going to happen in Justice League: Part One? Is this conflict with Atlantis going to be the main thrust of the plot, or will it still mostly revolve around the battle against Darkseid?
