One week out from D-day, and Superman’s presence in Justice League has ostensibly become something of an open secret.
Despite its best attempts to keep the Man of Steel off every piece of promotional material in the land, Warner Bros. has struggled to keep a lid on Henry Cavill’s involvement, and that’s before you factor in those extensive reshoots conducted by Joss Whedon (Avengers, Batgirl).
Back then, the Internet became fixated on Cavill’s facial hair – the pornstar mustache, as it is now commonly known – which will be digitally removed in post. From what we understand, the towering actor was contractually obliged to retain his lip fuzz in the name of Mission: Impossible 6, and it was only when Justice League‘s production ran into overtime that problems started to arise.
But make no mistake, Superman has a role to play in the Zack Snyder tentpole, as evidenced by this newly-uncovered cast photo that places him among DC’s finest.
First spotted by CBM, this awesome shot comes hand-in-hand with a fresh batch of behind-the-scenes photos. Originally included in Entertainment Weekly – The Ultimate Guide to Justice League, above you’ll see candid images of Diana Prince and Bruce Wayne, along with a close-up of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg (pre-CG) confronting an unarmed goon.
Meanwhile, here’s the logline for EW’s companion book, which is available to purchase from today:
