In an early contender for bizarre celebrity news story of the week, singer-songwriter Justin Bieber has *checks notes* challenged Tom Cruise to UFC-style cage fight.
Bieber, a 25-year-old musician from Canada, threw down the gauntlet over on Twitter, where he called out Cruise for reasons unknown, and warned that the Mission: Impossible star “will never live it down” should he refuse. He’s even gone so far as to tag Dana White, current president of the UFC, in the post, hoping to garner some, er, momentum for what many are already calling the fight of the century. I kid, I kid.
At the time of going to press, the 56-year-old Cruise has not yet responded to the challenge, but you can see Bieber’s original tweet down below if you’re in need of a good giggle this Monday afternoon.
I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you dont take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite ?

But wait! The plot thickens: former UFC champion Conor McGregor chimed in on the debate and even offered to host the celebrity dust-up if it goes ahead. The Irishman also put out a challenge of his own, claiming that he’d like to fight Mark Wahlberg “on the very same card.” Have we all slipped into a bizarro world of celebrity brawls and petty Twitter fights?
Via McGregor’s Twitter feed:
If Tom Cruise is man enough to accept this challenge, McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout. Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies?
I challenge Mark Walhberg on the very same card.
Back when mark wahlberg was marky mark, I’d’ve still slapped the ears off him and took my ufc shares back.#Shares #Streams #Dazn #Espn

First McGregor Vs. Mayweather then KSI Vs. Logan Paul and now, the most bizarre dust-up of the lot, Bieber Vs. Cruise. So, there you have it: Justin Bieber has officially called out Tom Cruise for a UFC-style cage fight and it is most definitely not April 1st.
