Although her personal life continues to be dragged through tabloids and E! Channel alike, the demise of Kristen Stewart’s post-Pattz career has been greatly exaggerated. Contrary to earlier reports, Universal has not nixed the idea of Stewart reprising her role in the proposed sequel to this summer’s Snow White and the Huntsman, according to the LA Times.
Reports have been circulating over the Internet that Stewart’s much-hyped liaison with Snow White director Rupert Sanders – and her subsequent break-up with Robert Pattinson – have made her persona non grata with the planned sequel. With that in mind, this statement from Universal bodes well for the star.
Speculation about the future of the two stars continues to follow Pattinson even as he does the talk-show circuit to promote David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis. I think we can all agree though that it is Stewart, and not Sanders, who has been the most vilified in the whole thing, even after her public apology for cheating on Pattinson.
Let’s be serious for a second though: who really cares? This all seems to be slightly hysterical speculation in the aftermath of a very public break-up. Whether Kristen Stewart does or does not reprise her role, it really should have nothing to do with her personal life.
As far as I’m concerned, she’s an actress. Let her act.
