Oh, boy. Can you feel it, folks? There’s a palpable sense of excitement in the air now as we inch closer and closer to Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War, which is roughly a month away from hitting theaters. It’s hard to believe, we know, but the movie that the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building to for 10 years is nearly here and we couldn’t be more excited.
The studio knows it, too, and as the big day quickly approaches, they’ve really ramped up the marketing. Clips, TV spots, posters, you name it – there’s been a ton to feast on. That continues today, too, as a new promo has debuted tonight which, while short, actually contains a fair bit of fresh footage for fans to pore over.
Nothing too spoiler-y or groundbreaking, but there are a handful of never before seen snippets of your favorite heroes along with some new dialogue, all of which is very welcome. After all, given that we’re so close to release, this may be the last bit of new material we get, so be sure to savor it!
From everything we’ve seen so far, it truly looks like the Russos – not to mention their screenwriters and frequent collaborators Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus – have executed an unprecedented juggling act with some of the biggest names in comic book history. And don’t even get us started on Avengers 4, a film so ambiguous – so god damn mysterious – it’s yet to receive an official title…that we know of.
But make no mistake, Avengers: Infinity War heralds a defining moment for the MCU – so much so, that Marvel’s superhero franchise will never be the same again, regardless of how things unfold on April 27th.
