Latest Marvel News: Brie Larson finally finds some support from an MCU co-star as Disney Plus dances around a ‘Secret Invasion’ bombshell

Also, Aaron Taylor-Johnson seems to know more about Spider-Man's future than Tom Holland.

The toxic storm that seems to follow Brie Larson‘s name around on some quarters of the internet has long been ignored by the Oscar-winning actress’ Marvel co-stars, but that’s finally over now as one such real-life hero has held nothing back in destroying anyone who’s got a bad thing to say about her. Meanwhile, Disney Plus innocently reignites the oldest Secret Invasion fan theory on the eve of its premiere and the star of Kraven the Hunter appears to have peaked at the Web of Life and Destiny…

Brie Larson loyalists have often slammed the leading men of the MCU for never taking a stance against those who spew hate about the Captain Marvel actress online, especially when so many were as quick as Quicksilver to support Chris Pratt. Trust Samuel L. Jackson to be the one to finally condemn Larson’s haters in public, then, given his own close friendship to The Marvels star. In his typical style, the Nick Fury icon didn’t hold back in roasting “the incel dudes who hate women” for simply having a problem with Larson being a proud feminist. That’s Jackson, a supporter of women on screen and off.

On the eve of Secret Invasion‘s premiere, Disney Plus goes and pours gasoline on the flames of the show’s oldest fan theory

What’s the oldest and dearest wish that Marvel fans have had about Secret Invasion since it was first announced? That it would feature some kind of crossover with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. — preferably getting Chloe Bennet back as Quake. Well, Bennet herself has already punctured those hopes, but now Disney Plus has just reinflated them with its official pre-SI watchlist which happens to include the ABC series. Is this just because Jackson once had a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo on the show or because one or more characters from AoS are due to appear in the miniseries? We’ll find out soon enough.

Somebody should tell Tom Holland that Aaron Taylor-Johnson thinks Kraven the Hunter’s about to fight Spider-Man

Tom Holland may be on a year-long acting sabbatical, and unsure of his Marvel future after that, but his next potential nemesis seems certain that their paths will cross at some point. Following the release of the first trailer for Kraven the Hunter, Aaron Taylor-Johnson took to Instagram to warn: “Spider-Man… I’m coming for you.” Is this just another empty promise, like all those times Tom Hardy teased a Venom vs Spidey showdown back in the day, or does ATJ know something we don’t? Will Spider-Man 4 be that Peter Parker Faces the Sinister Six film we’ve been waiting a decade for? Unfortunately, this one we won’t find out soon enough.

Secret Invasion premieres this Wednesday, June 21 on Disney Plus, so stay tuned as more Marvel updates infiltrate our lives in a sinister fashion.
