Have Disney and Lucasfilm chosen October 9th to be the day in which they unveil the full-length trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Mark Hamill certainly thinks so – or at least, he did, before pulling his Tweet offline last week. To date, there’s still been no confirmation from either studio that early next month is when we’ll see the new preview, but as the radio silence continues, speculation is quickly mounting.
Here to add even more fuel to the fire now is a leaked description of the trailer which first surfaced on 4chan (and has since been deleted) before being picked up by the one and only Mike Zeroh. Yes, we know, that’s a name which causes many eye rolls and groans amongst the Star Wars faithful, and as always, you’ll certainly want to take all this with a grain of salt. For those interested, though, we do have a pretty detailed rundown of what we may be seeing when Disney finally decides to premiere that next chunk of footage, and it’s very exciting.
From what we understand, things kick off with some shots of Ahch-To, which is where Luke currently resides. Following that, we get a look at Finn and Rose on their mission on Canto Bight, a few scenes of Rey in training, an angry Kylo Ren on what could be the Mega Star Destroyer and much more. Instead of listing it all here, though, we’ve included Zeroh’s scoop down below, so give it a watch and see what you make of this latest report to tumble off the rumor mill.
Again, we strongly advise not putting too much stock into this, but it is intriguing and though Mike Zeroh and 4chan are hardly sources that one thinks of when it comes to accurate scoops, both parties have been known to produce some solid intel in the past, so who knows?
If one thing’s for certain, it’s that Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been penciled in for a release on December 15th. Its untitled sequel, meanwhile, Episode IX, has since found a new director (J.J. Abrams) and release date (December 20th, 2019), placing it right alongside Warner’s Wonder Woman 2.
