Is Liev Schreiber Hinting At Sabertooth’s Return For The Wolverine Sequel?

A while back Hugh Jackman asked fans what they'd most like to see from his final time in the claws and mutton chops as Wolverine, and in a recent interview he revealed that "there were a lot of calls for Victor Creed to come back." This character has been Logan's most dauntless adversary in the comics for many years, and was most recently played by Liev Schreiber in X-Men: Origins Wolverine. Now while that movie wasn't particularly popular with fans (to put it kindly) most seemed to praise Schreiber's performance as the feral killer, who was obsessed with his "brother", Logan.

Now, while that movie wasn’t particularly popular with fans (to put it kindly), most people seemed to praise Schreiber’s performance as the feral killer who was obsessed with his “brother,” Logan.

Today, Jackman Tweeted the below image of himself working out for what we assume is his return as Wolverine, and look who just happened to comment.

Obviously, this isn’t definitive evidence that he’s returning, but it’s worth keeping an eye on at least. As far as we know, these guys don’t have any upcoming projects that they’re set to star in together, so unless Schreiber is just messing about, there’s a possibility this is a reference to getting into Sabertooth shape for James Mangold’s follow up.

The Wolverine sequel is currently set to hit theaters on March 3, 2017. Would you like to see Sabertooth return? Sound off below!
