Machete Kills With New 3D Trailer, Clips And Amber Heard Poster

Certainly the honor of 'Nuttiest Film of the Year' goes to Robert Rodriguez's tongue-in-cheek, blood-soaked exploitation flick Machete Kills, which features a bevy of gun-toting beauties (including Sofia Vergara, who sports the most killer brassiere of all time), plenty of high-octane stunts and more than its fair share of over-the-top dialogue exchanges. In case you're skeptical about just how gonzo this sequel to 2010's Machete is going to be, look below for the film's faux-3D trailer and a new set of clips for the film.

Certainly the honor of ‘Nuttiest Film of the Year’ goes to Robert Rodriguez’s tongue-in-cheek, blood-soaked exploitation flick Machete Kills, which features a bevy of gun-toting beauties (including Sofia Vergara, who sports the most killer brassiere of all time), plenty of high-octane stunts and more than its fair share of over-the-top dialogue exchanges. In case you’re skeptical about just how gonzo this sequel to 2010’s Machete is going to be, look below for the film’s faux-3D trailer and a new set of clips for the film.

Machete Kills finds Danny Trejo’s titular badass working as a freelance spy. Recruited by US President Rathcock (Charlie Sheen) to infiltrate the criminal organization of arms dealing terrorist Luther Voz (Mel Gibson), Machete finds himself in the fight of his life, fending off enemies on all sides with no clear way out.

The film also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Sofia Vergara, Demián Bichir, Walton Goggins, Zoe Saldana, Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas, Cuba Gooding Jr., Vanessa Hudgens, Alexa Vega and Amber Heard, who gets her own character poster below.

With such a stellar cast, I’m hopeful that Machete Kills will be a no-brains-attached blast of adrenaline-pumping action and hilarious dialogue, as the film’s marketing campaign has so far suggested. There’s so much potential for this movie to go off the rails in all the wrong ways, but it’s such a labor of love for director Robert Rodriguez that I don’t think he’ll let fans of the character down.

Machete Kills opens on October 11th.
