As we edge closer to the release of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, that means only one thing: a major marketing push. In addition to trailers, posters and the #WhoWillWin campaign, the stars of Zack Snyder’s upcoming movie have been hitting the press trail. Part of their duties involves promoting the movie on the chat-show circuit, and it was during his stint on the Ellen show that Ben Affleck debuted a new clip between Batman and his trusty aide, Alfred.
Now we’ve a glimpse into a similar situation on the other side of that ‘v’, as another clip dropped last night on The Late Late Show with James Corden, featuring Superman and his mother. The brief scene expands on what we’ve already glimpsed in trailers. Martha Kent, played again by Diane Lane, offers counsel and support to her adoptive son Clark. Played without interruption, it definitely sheds light on the alien hero’s emotional state, and how he still struggles with the weight of responsibility.
Considering we’ve already seen plenty of footage from the flick, we know that no matter what stress the Man of Steel is feeling, he’s got to pull himself up by the bootstraps and face the world. We’ll get to see how it all turns out for him in just one week.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016.
