Marvel Rumored To Be Developing A New Avengers Movie

Given what happened in Avengers: Endgame, there's now a ton of speculation on what comes next for the MCU. As everything built up to the conclusion of the Infinity Saga and the last outing in Phase Three, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Kevin Feige and co. have been keeping quiet about what's to come in the next few years. Sure, we know they're working on new projects like The Eternals and sequels like Captain Marvel 2, but as of yet, there's been no official reveal of the Phase Four slate.

One project that’s been heavily rumored though is a New Avengers movie, and a recent leak is once again telling us that Marvel’s indeed working on it and the film could be with us as soon as May 6th, 2022. Of course, given that this is an unverified leak, we advise taking it with a major grain of salt, but again, this certainly isn’t the first we’ve heard of the studio looking to bring the New Avengers team to the big screen.

In the past, we’ve been told that the rejuvenated roster will consist of Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, Hulkling, Iron Lad, Patriot, Wiccan, Stature and Vision (not Paul Bettany’s version). This would make sense, too, as heroes like Patriot and Hulking would be inspired by Captain America and Bruce Banner, and then there’s Iron Lad, who’s obviously very closely connected to a certain Fantastic Four villain. Not to mention that Wiccan and Vision 2.0. are likely Scarlet Witch and Vis’ kids, with the latter replacing Speed from the source material.

For now, though, this all remains as speculation. Especially since none of the aforementioned characters have been properly introduced yet. That being said, it’s clear from comments Kevin Feige’s made in the past that this is the direction Marvel’s looking to go in and with any luck, maybe we’ll get an official confirmation on the much rumored New Avengers movie at Comic-Con this year.
