The third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe reached a fitting conclusion with Avengers: Endgame, and even though Far From Home is officially the final Phase 3 film, it really does feel like things wrapped up rather perfectly in the Infinity War sequel.
Still, Spidey will indeed be swinging into theaters next month and no doubt his second solo outing will lay even more groundwork for the next Phase. Speaking of which, at the moment, not much is known about what’s coming our way, but that’ll likely change once San Diego Comic-Con rolls around. And that’s because despite reports to the contrary, Deadline has now confirmed that Marvel Studios will indeed return to Hall H this year to showcase their upcoming slate.
Yes, Kevin Feige and co. will be strolling into the convention with tons of goodies for fans, and while it’s still unknown what exactly they’ll be showing off, we can already make some pretty good guesses. The general consensus is that they’ll use Comic-Con to feature their films, while the Disney Plus TV shows will likely take the spotlight at D23.
That remains to be confirmed, but as of now, we imagine we’ll see some of the Black Widow spinoff, and likely receive confirmation on casting for The Eternals and Shang-Chi. We’ll also probably get some firm release dates for all of the aforementioned projects and more, while we’re sure Marvel will have a few other surprises up their sleeves as well. Perhaps some news on their plans for the X-Men and Fantastic Four?
Whatever it is they’re set to bring us, one thing’s for certain, and that’s that between San Diego Comic-Con and D23, the next few months are going to be a very exciting time for fans of Marvel Studios and all their many upcoming films and TV shows.
