Production has only just begun, but already we’ve seen scores of set photos, showing off everyone from Linda Hamilton to Mackenzie Davis and even Gabriel Luna, who’s all set to bring to life the new Terminator. It’s an exciting time to be a fan of the franchise, then, and now, we’ve got some more behind the scenes looks to share, courtesy of the aforementioned Luna.

Down in the gallery below, you’ll see the actor on set in his mo-cap suit as well as receiving a bit of a touch up presumably before he goes to shoot a scene. Beyond that, there’s not much we can take from these, but it’s nice to get another look at the production regardless.

Unfortunately, Skydance is playing its cards close to the vest when it comes to story details, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that The Terminator has been blanketed by radio silence. For instance, we already know that Davis has been cast as Dani Ramos (Sarah Connor 2.0?), a “young woman in her early 20s from Mexico City.” It’s a character who’s also been described as a “strong, independent” person who always manages to find a ray of light even in the darkest of circumstances. And if that doesn’t sound like a compelling lead, we don’t know what does.

Said to ignore all films post-Judgment Day, not unlike the forthcoming Halloween sequel from Blumhouse and David Gordon Green, The Terminator will be with us on November 22nd, 2019, where it’ll likely face stiff competition from Wonder Woman 1984 and Disney’s Frozen sequel. Something tells us though it’ll have no trouble causing a storm at the box office, especially since James Cameron is back on board as producer here.
