The casting of the seven dwarves is now complete for the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman. Nick Frost, most recently seen in the sci-fi comedy Paul, is currently in talks with Universal to take over the last vacant dwarf role, according to Variety.
Frost will star alongside Ian McShane, Toby Jones, Bob Hoskins, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Graham and Ray Winstone. Universal has plans to shoot the film regularly and shrink the actors who play the dwarves in post-production.
In this version of the classic fairy tale, the Huntsman is ordered to kill Snow White. Instead, he serves as her protector and mentor as they set out on a mission to take down the Evil Queen.
Kristen Stewart will play Snow White, Charlize Theron has been cast as The Evil Queen and Thor’s Chris Hemsworth will play the Huntsman in Rupert Sanders’ directorial debut.
The film is currently in pre-production and is aiming for a June 1, 2012 release date.
