Nothing can prepare you for the advent of Onslaught, the latest Decepticon to pull in for Transformers: The Last Knight.
Similar to the unveilings of Bumblebee and a revamped Barricade – an armored robot in disguise that appeared to bite the bullet back in the original movie – this first peek at a glimmering Onslaught arrives by way of Michael Bay’s Twitter account. It is, unsurprisingly, a striking image of the lime-green tow truck, which has the words ‘never back down’ scrawled onto its metal exterior.
[zerg]Here’s a better look at the new Decepticon straight from the horse’s mouth, which is wallpaper worthy if you’re an ardent fan of all things Transformers.

Onslaught now joins Bumblebee, Barricade, Drift, the all-new Sqweeks, Megatron and Optimus Prime in The Last Knight, with some early promotional material pitting our fearless leader against a three-headed monstrosity. Whether that’s merely a pawn of Megatron or some scarred remnant from the Age of Extinction is still up for question.
On the human side, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel and Mark Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager headline the crew of good guys. There are also roles for Isabela Moner along with the illustrious Anthony Hopkins.
Transformers: The Last Knight is slated for theatrical release on June 23, 2017. Paramount is expected to go all-in with its flagship series over the next few years, with plans in place for new Transformers movies through 2019.
