Today we have the first poster for Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman‘s highly anticipated biopic Lovelace. The film stars Amanda Seyfried as the famous porn star Linda Lovelace, who earned notoriety after starring in the porno Deep Throat.
The story of the infamous porn star is one that is highly publicized, with numerous documentaries and books being written about Lovelace. Though we don’t know which parts of her life the film will focus on, we do know that it will place emphasis on her relationship with abusive husband Chuck Traynor, played by Peter Sarsgaard, and the release of the film that shot Lovelace to fame, Deep Throat.
From the photos that we’ve seen thus far and this retro 70’s style poster, Seyfried looks to be the spitting image of Lovelace. Having been a fan of Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman‘s last film Howl, I cannot wait for this one.
No release date has been set for the film. That being said, a premiere at a film festival in the Fall, maybe Toronto or Venice, seems likely.
Lovelace stars Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, Adam Brody, Bobby Cannavale, James Franco, Chris Noth, Sarah Jessica Parker, Robert Patrick, Eric Roth, Chloe Sevigny, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.
