Return To Skull Island With This New Trailer Sneak Peek

It seems that the marketing machine for Kong: Skull Island is starting to roar to life now that the film is only about 4 months away. Earlier this week, we got our first proper look at the mighty beast, who's said to stand 100ft tall, while the past few days also saw the release of a new international trailer - though it only featured recycled footage.

It seems that the marketing machine for Kong: Skull Island is starting to roar to life now that the film is only about 4 months away. Earlier this week, we got our first proper look at the mighty beast, who’s said to stand 100ft tall, while the past few days also saw the release of a new international trailer – though it only featured stuff that we’d already seen.

If you’re eager for something fresh though and want to see more of the upcoming blockbuster, you’re in luck, as Warner Bros. is set to unleash a brand new preview for the film this Wednesday which you can bet will come packing some explosive new footage. With the cat out of the bag and the first photo of the titular monster now revealed, I’d expect this next trailer to contain at least a handful of shots of Kong in action, along with perhaps some new looks at the all-star cast headlining the tentpole.

That’s purely speculation for now, of course, but while we wait for it to drop, you can feast your eyes on a brief sneak peek of the trailer above. As is often the case with these things, there’s nothing at all to write home about in this 13-second clip, but Kong does make an appearance and it’s certainly tantalizing enough to have us eager to see more.

After all, Skull Island is looking to help start a bona fide franchise for Warner Bros., one that will eventually pit the titular beast against Godzilla in what just might be the most epic monster movie of all-time. As far as creating shared cinematic universes go, it’s an ambitious plan to be sure, and even though Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla stumbled out of the gate a bit back when it kicked all this off in 2014, we’re eager to see how the franchise evolves from here.

Kong: Skull Island will star Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton), Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham, Toby Kebbell and Eugene Cordero. It’ll stomp into theatres on March 10th, 2017.
