Rob Zombie Says Otis Will Be Worse Than Ever In Three From Hell

It’s been thirteen years since we saw Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding get shot full of holes in the Bonnie and Clyde-style ending of The Devil’s Rejects, but it appears that neither time nor a round of bullets can dampen the mean streak of these murderous antiheroes, with the trio set to deliver more carnage in next year’s Three From Hell.

Rob Zombie first introduced us to these psychotic figures in 2003’s House of 1000 Corpses, and in a recent Instagram post, the director put the spotlight on Bill Moseley’s character with a clip from The Devil’s Rejects, along with the accompanying claim that he’s even worse now than he was back then:

“If you think Otis has mellowed with age in THREE FROM HELL… well, think again. He’s worse than ever.”

Needless to say, Zombie hasn’t mellowed with age either, with Moseley himself teasing earlier this year that the upcoming sequel is “chockablock with gratuitous violence.” The actor went on to paint a gruesome picture of “decapitations, shotguns to the face, just general ass-kickin’ stuff,” and from a director of Zombie’s reputation, we’d expect nothing less and the fans wouldn’t want it any other way.

At the same time, Three From Hell probably won’t be a mere retread of the first two installments in the horror trilogy. Back in October, Zombie suggested that the movie will serve as a departure of sorts from Rejects and 1000 Corpses, and while he refrained from going into details, the many set photos he’s been sharing indicate that there’s some courtroom drama to be had in this next flick.

In any case, we’ve still yet to get an official release date for Three From Hell, but it’s expected that the film will be coming out around mid-2019, at which point Moseley assures us that our “mindsies are gonna be big time blown.”
