Last night it was revealed that a brand new, 3 minute long trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story would be airing on ABC on Friday, July 15th. However, the new preview will also be shown earlier in the day during the film’s panel at Star Wars Celebration in London. Of course, a lot of us here in North America won’t be able to make the trip overseas to attend, which is why it’s comforting to hear that the whole thing will be live streamed.
What this means is that not only will you get to watch all of the various panels from the comfort of your own home, but you’ll also be able to catch that Rogue One trailer before it airs on television, as the panel at Star Wars Celebration will take place at 11am EST, while the preview won’t hit the air until later that night.
Unfortunately, there’s no information yet on what will be shown in the new trailer, but given its lengthy runtime, we should get a fair amount of new footage. Perhaps we’ll even get our first look at Darth Vader, who’s been confirmed to have a role in the film. Time will tell, but we’re certainly eager to see what Disney’s got up their sleeve for us next week.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story blasts into theatres on December 16th, 2016.
