Ryan Reynolds On If He Hates X-Men Origins: Wolverine Or Green Lantern More

Wade Wilson may have survived his suicide attempt at the start of Deadpool 2, but Ryan Reynolds does manage to kill himself twice in the film’s mid-credits sequence. As the Merc with a Mouth travels through time in order to right several wrongs, he journeys to the set of the critically panned X-Men Origins: Wolverine where he assassinates the 2009 film’s oft-ridiculed take on Deadpool, before murdering Ryan Reynolds himself right before the actor begins work on the similarly disparaged Green Lantern movie.

But while the redeemed star of the Deadpool series evidently agrees with the consensus that neither of those movies were exactly shining moments in his career, one fan at the San Diego Comic-Con managed to ask Reynolds the all-important question: Which is worse?

Sadly, it seems the actor was unable to put this issue to bed once and for all, staying hesitant over which of the two movies to pick. In one of these clips, Wade journeys to late-1800s Austria where he murders a certain baby that goes by the name of “A. Hitler.” Meanwhile, in an extended version of the X-Men Origins scene, the current version of Deadpool teases Hugh Jackman’s return to the role of Wolverine when he delivers an ambiguous line to Logan, saying: “One day your old pal Wade’s gonna ask you to get back in the saddle again. When he does, say yes.”
