The first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows was arguably better than anyone expected, and now a new behind the scenes video has been released which features interviews with Megan Fox (Transformers), Stephen Amell (Arrow), and the foursome who play the titular turtles.
As you now doubt already know, many sequels make the mistake of going darker, but Fox assures MTV in the video above that that’s not the plan for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel:
“They figured out the tone of the movie should be funny. This isn’t like Turtles in Gotham City. That’s the wrong way to take it. So I think they just have a much better handle on the tone of the movie and this one is actually going to be much better tkan the first one. I kind of hope the people that saw the first one and were like, ’Meh, I don’t know, take or or leave it’ — I hope they give this one a chance, because this ones’ going to be, I think, way better.”
The first instalment of the Michael Bay produced franchise received a mixed response from critics and fans alike, but something which has already won over many of the matter is the introduction of Casey Jones. Asked about how the character factors into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, Amell said:
“The cool thing about Casey Jones in this movie is he’s very much an unfinished product. Matter of fact, it’s more that he’s beginning.”
Starring Megan Fox, Stephen Amell, Johnny Knoxville, Tony Shalhoub, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Brian Tee, Will Arnett, Gary Anthony Williams, and WWE Superstar Sheamus, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows is set to be released on June 3rd, next year.
