Though it’s made up of mostly recycled footage that we’ve already seen, and is an international, not domestic, preview, it’s still worth a watch for fans of the series who are eager to see Kate Beckinsale’s Death Dealer Selene kick some more ass. And judging by this latest look at the film, that’s something which she’s shockingly good at.

A January release date may not be one to inspire confidence – it’s often written off as a graveyard throughout the entertainment industry – but everything we’ve seen coming out of Blood Wars thus far is wonderfully stylish, including the footage in this trailer.

That being said, Blood Wars is still most definitely a film for the fans. Newcomers probably won’t feel too at home here and even if you do have some familiarity with the Lycan/Vampire war, if you haven’t been into the series thus far, this fifth instalment probably won’t do anything to change that.

Still, there’s no denying that the Underworld films have always provided enough mindless entertainment to make them worth a watch, and while we’re certainly not diehard fans, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t curious to check this latest instalment out.

Underworld: Blood Wars arrives in theaters on January 6, 2017. Tell us, will you be heading out to theatres to see Selene kick some ass, or is this one series you’ve had enough of? Sound off below and let us know!
