Silent Hill: Revelation 3D Motion Poster Slashes Onto Screens

Among the select few who've never played a single Silent Hill game, you'll find me. I might have for a short period that one night I stayed over at my sister's place when she was dating a video-game obsessed man-child, but my memory that far back's so spotty that I could've been playing anything. Due to not having played the series before, I had no preconceived notions about what the resulting film adaptation would, or should be prior to the day I was introduced to it by some friends. Without any bias influencing me one way or the other, I found myself quite impressed by Silent Hill, at least visually speaking.

Among the select few who’ve never played a single Silent Hill game, you’ll find me. I might have for a short period that one night I stayed over at my sister’s place when she was dating a video-game obsessed man-child, but my memory that far back is so spotty that I could’ve been playing anything.

Due to not having played the series before, I had no preconceived notions about what the resulting film adaptation would, or should be prior to the day I was introduced to it by some friends. Without any bias influencing me one way or the other, I found myself quite impressed by Silent Hill, at least visually speaking.

So, when I heard there was going to be a sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, I was intrigued to see if they could build upon, or at least match, the original. However, what’s been released thus far has failed to impress, with the 3D looking especially underwhelming.

Underlining this somewhat is the motion poster, seen below, which was just released via Yahoo. Similarly to the rest of what we’ve seen, it lacks a certain level of polish, especially at the end when the motion aspect really comes into play with Pyramid Head slashing at onlookers.

Still, it’s nice to see the film being advertised in refreshingly new ways, and I’m sure there are countless people who remain fraught with anticipation for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D‘s October 26th release, such as one of my friends.

Where do you fall on the upcoming sequel? Check out the poster below and sound off about in the comments section. Your feedback is always appreciated.
