Though that does clear up a bit, there is obviously a lot more left unanswered, and fans are no doubt speculating already as to where the franchise will take us next. Unfortunately, it’s going to be a while before we get any concrete answers, as X-Men: Apocalypse is still a few years out.
That being said, I definitely like the direction that the series is heading in. First Class was excellent and to be honest, I really didn’t think that Bryan Singer would be able to pull off an equally impressive sequel, especially since he was juggling multiple timelines. In my opinion though, I actually think X-Men: Days of Future Past was not only better than its predecessor, but also far more enjoyable than most of the other comic book movies we’ve seen lately, like Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World. Not that those were bad films, it’s just that Days of Future Past felt like such a breath of fresh air and a really nice change of pace from the typical fare that we see in the genre.
But I digress. Check out what Simon Kinberg has to say below, along with the post-credits scene itself (it’s not great quality, but it’s the best version that we could find on YouTube), and let us know what you think of X-Men: Days of Future Past in the comments section.
