Nikolaj Arcel’s big-screen rendition of The Dark Tower wasn’t the only new release to be affected by Sony’s reshuffling effort, as we now have word that both Jumanji and Edgar Wright’s caper Baby Driver are among those postponed.

First up, the studio’s Jumanji sequel – one which stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan – has been pushed back to December 22, 2017, where Sony believes Jake Kasdan’s romp will thrive in a family-friendly corridor. The action-adventure pic had previously been on course to release in July.

It’s a similar story for Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver. Once slated to open opposite Beauty and the Beast on March 17, the star-studded drama has relocated to August 11, 2017, the very same corridor in which Sony’s Sausage Party found success earlier this year. Will lightning strike twice? Jamie Foxx, Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm, Lily James, Jon Bernthal, Kevin Spacey, and Sky Ferreira are among the ensemble for that one.

There’s also a slight delay to the US release of T2: Trainspotting 2, Danny Boyle’s long-in-development sequel. It’s been bumped a full month, meaning Renton and the gang will be hitting theaters on these shores on March 3, 2017. Curious to see if the years have been kind to Ewan McGregor’s recovering addict? Look no further than today’s full trailer reveal. Finally, that gestating Flatliners reboot has also been hit with a one-month delay, meaning the sci-fi pic will now open on September 29, 2017.

In light of today’s announcement, Jumanji will now roar onto screens nationwide on December 22, at which time it’ll open in close proximity to Pitch Perfect 3 and Star Wars: Episode VIII. No pressure, then.
