Fans have been referring to the sequel thus far as Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse — Part II, but now we know the film is officially called Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse. That makes complete sense given the titling of the first two installments , but it’s also an exciting moniker that sets the third chapter up to take things an even bigger, bolder, and crazier directiron.

The news was shared during Sony’s presentation at CinemaCon, along with more information around Across The Spider-Verse, which is set to premiere next year. On top of that, the studio couldn’t help itself from handing out Marvel goodies, whether it was the official announcement of Venom 3, or the unexpected reveal of Bad Bunny getting his own superhero spectacular.

Sadly, the hope for a Morbius sequel remains but a distant pipe dream for now, but there’s no shortage of Marvel Comics projects in the works at Sony in both live-action and animation, even if we’re hoping that Morbius becomes the exception and not the rule when comes to gauging the overall quality of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, which hasn’t gotten off to the greatest of stars in trying to prove the brand can thrive without a British actor named Tom in the lead.
