Last weekend, Tom Holland officially unveiled the title for the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming – Spider-Man: Far From Home – which will see Peter Parker traveling to Europe on his summer vacation. Of course, the moniker produced a lot of jokes about how it reflects Spidey’s journey into space, about as far from home as you can get, in Avengers: Infinity War.
Now, fan artist Boss Logic has taken that even further in his latest mock-poster. Referencing Peter’s tragic death at the end of the movie, when Thanos wipes out half the universe, the artwork renames the pic Not Coming Home. With the character reduced to mere dust, the image shows the planet Titan where Spidey met his end.
Sure, this is just a joke, but it does raise the question of how Peter Parker’s got another movie in the works when he’s currently deceased. Tom Holland’s been teasing on Twitter that it could be a prequel instead, which is actually a workable theory. However, it’s been said that Spider-Man will be a leading figure in Phase 4 of the MCU, so it’s hard to believe that we’ve really seen the last of the web-slinger.
However he ends up returning, Holland’s revealed there’s also a third Spider-Man movie in the works to round off the trilogy. Boss Logic has even pitched his idea for what this Spider-Man 3 could potentially be. Hypothetically titled Spider-Man: Homies, the artist imagined (via another poster, also seen in the gallery above) the film introducing Miles Morales’ version of the wall-crawler in a team-up between him and Peter Parker.
But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. Spider-Man: Far From Home will see the titular hero face off against a new enemy in the form of Mysterio, as played by Jake Gyllenhaal, while Michael Keaton will also return as Vulture when it swings into cinemas on July 5th, 2019.
