Forget “Reylo,” what about Finn and Poe?
Proving that we’re not the only ones hoping that Oscar Isaac and John Boyega’s respective characters will hook up in Star Wars: Episode IX, the former “fully endorsed” that rumored plot point while signing a particularly striking banner for one lucky fan.
First spotted by ComicBook.com, the Twitter user was wielding a sign with the text, “Finnpoe is endgame.” It certainly caught the eye of Oscar Isaac, who stopped to admire the banner before putting pen to paper. If nothing else, it’s further evidence that The Last Jedi actor supports a Finn/Poe romance, and he even read the “sexy” fan fiction leading up to the release of Rian Johnson’s sci-fi sequel.
What we do know is that Oscar Isaac will be back in the cockpit as Poe Dameron when Star Wars: Episode IX takes flight late next year. He’s currently out promoting his relatively small role in Annihilation, Alex Garland’s sci-fi opus that’s getting rave reviews, so we imagine Isaac will be answering another two or three Star Wars-related questions as the film’s press junkets continue.

Diversity for diversity’s sake is one thing, but is it really too much to ask for a Star Wars movie that adequately represents the LGBTQ community?
Indeed, can we expect Lucasfilm to take heed of these petitions? And if so, will a Finn/Poe romance help anchor Star Wars: Episode IX when it releases on December 20th, 2019? So many questions, so few answers…
