Star Wars: The Last Jedi is coming home – specifically to Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand, as Lucasfilm and Disney have today announced that the Rian Johnson sequel will hit home video on March 27th.
That’s just two weeks after its debut across Digital HD (along with 4K Ultra HD and Movies Anywhere), and we’re pleased to report that The Last Jedi‘s Blu-ray packs a raft of extras and bonus content under the hood. Chief among them is The Director and the Jedi, which promises to be an “intimate journey into the creation of Star Wars: The Last Jedi with writer-director Rian Johnson.”
There’s also an audio commentary along with numerous deleted scenes. Word is Johnson and his team trimmed around 20 minutes off The Last Jedi in the build-up to release, so we’re fascinated by that content that was sentenced to the cutting room floor.

So, there you have it; Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits home video on March 27th, while those partial to digital copies will be able to pick up Rian Johnson’s stellar sequel from March 13th.

It’s said to be an engrossing origin story that treads the line between heist and Western, and we’ll be able to see if Ron Howard’s anthology pic is up to the task on May 25th.
