8) Killer Croc’s Lunch
One character who really drew the short straw in the theatrical cut was Killer Croc. The popular Batman villain was basically reduced to the muscle of the group, silent albeit for a couple of lines muffled under an incomprehensible voice. Though the extended cut has no vestige of the flashbacks to his childhood that were apparently filmed, we do get a little more time with him.
In the cinema version, our introduction to the character is a brief scene where we see him drag his lunch – a whole dead goat – back into the sewers. In the Extended Cut, this scene runs a little longer, as Croc growls at his food as if he’s offended by it – which adds weight to Waller’s narration that he’s treated like a monster.
Later on, when the squad are in the helicopter on their way to Midway City, Croc has a bout of motion sickness and vomits up his lunch – causing Harley to pinch her nose and complain that it’s a “party foul… not cool!”
